Days 16 – 18
Round Faldingworth
By Thursday I was in to my third week of walks and well on track to hit my 100 mile goal, so given the dodgy weather forecast, I scheduled myself a rest day!
‘Rest’, when you’ve two young girls, is a relative term – there was still the food shopping to do, give the vacuum another run out – all that kind of fun stuff!

Weekend Roundup
Friday was my day off. As I’ve noted throughout this blog, I’ve been really lucky with the amount of dry weather we’ve had, but Friday had long been predicted as being a soggy one, so I decided it was best to avoid going out and getting soaked – plus, whilst it’s great being able to grab fresh vegetables off the stall in the village, there’s still a time when you just have to go to Tesco and that was Friday! So aside from shopping and the school runs, a quiet one.
So on Saturday I had hubby (and kids) play taxi in order to give me a medium-length route but with a little change of scenery – Tilly waved me off from the car at the south end of Snarford, and as they all drove back home up the A46, I began my wind-battered return up towards Spridlington Road.
I set off in a familiar direction, but having arranged for the family taxi service to operate once more I continued along Spridlington Road all the way towards Spridlington village itself. The first real wobble that my Fitbit tracker has had occurred on this walk – slightly annoying that the GPS didn’t reconnect – but we were able to measure the four and a half miles out on Google Earth afterwards.

“I’ve been delighted to see the numbers on my Just Giving page keep ticking over throughout the last week or so – I’ve bumped my target up to £400 and there’s just £75 to go!
Thanks to everyone who has donated already – fingers crossed the weather is kind and I can get this over the line soon!”
